From overwhelmed admin roles to building a business on my own terms

I didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming a Virtual Assistant.

Like many people, I fell into admin, PA and EA roles because I was organised, capable, and the one who could “just handle things”. I spent years supporting other people’s businesses, managing diaries, fixing problems, and keeping everything moving behind the scenes, while quietly feeling stuck, overworked, and under-recognised.

I loved the work, but I didn’t love the lack of flexibility, the ceilings on growth, or the feeling that I was always building someone else’s vision.

Becoming a Virtual Assistant changed everything.

What started as a way to gain flexibility quickly turned into a fully-fledged business. I learned how to position my experience properly, price my work confidently, and attract clients who genuinely valued what I brought to the table. Over time, I went from being “helpful admin support” to a strategic right-hand partner for founders and business owners.

Now, Babes About Business exists for two reasons:
